Illinois: Pushing for concealed carry →

Illinois is the only state in the union not to have legislation permitting some form of concealed carry. Many advocates believe that may change as early as this spring.
Not to mention, any carry at all. I go to Indiana to shoot, and when they see my Illinois ID they always, always say “I’m sorry.”

… I take the opposite approach. I carry heavy, tough, durable equipment, usually a hundred feet of climbing rope and a harness, a sidearm, a big fluffy sleeping bag, all the luxuries that most backpackers would dump after the first day. I take pride in covering the same amount of ground in the same timeframe as the ultralighters with 60-80 additional pounds on my back. I wear thick soled...

Personally, I think this is a fantastic idea, however they are fairly new and could use some submission help.
